WokCartAgent Technical Transparency & Retailer Policy
WokCartAgent/1.0 (+https://www.wokcart.com/agent.html) · Last Updated: September 2026WokCartAgent/1.0 is a transparent, user-directed client identifier used by the WokCart mobile app only when an authenticated consumer explicitly initiates a personal shopping session on their own device. It never runs on headless cloud servers, never scrapes catalogs or prices, and is gated behind prior written retailer consent in production user builds.
1. Who WokCartAgent Acts For
WokCart (https://www.wokcart.com) is a bilingual Asian family meal-planning and grocery checklist service. On the web, WokCart uses standard external browser links and official retailer affiliate/share lists. In our mobile application, when authorized by both the user and the retail partner, WokCartAgent/1.0 identifies an on-device session acting strictly as the consumer's personal agent for their own household shopping list.
2. Prior Written Consent Gate (Choice A Policy)
In production consumer builds of the WokCart mobile app, automated in-app cart staging for third-party grocers (such as SayWeee!) is disabled by default unless the retail partner has granted written authorization. Without written authorization, WokCart hands off shopping lists exclusively through official affiliate share lists and standard external links opened in the user's native browser or retailer app.
3. Five Strict Operating Commitments
- User-Initiated & On-Device Only: Sessions occur solely on a real consumer's mobile device after an explicit user tap and agency consent confirmation. WokCart operates zero headless browsers, proxy farms, or cloud crawlers against retailer websites.
- No Scraping, Caching, or AI Training: WokCart does not crawl product catalogs, does not store or republish retailer prices beyond the user's active screen, and never uses retailer page content to train machine-learning models.
- Strict Safe-Staging Halt & User Control: Even when authorized, assistance halts strictly at Cart Review. The user personally reviews all items, handles privacy/cookie consent prompts directly, and completes checkout inside the retailer's official interface.
- Strict Separation from Affiliate Attribution: WokCart never injects affiliate or referral tracking parameters (such as
referral_id) into automated browser steps. - Rate-Limited & 24-Hour Kill Switch: All requests honor
robots.txtand conservative human-paced rate limits. Any retailer security or partner team may request immediate configuration changes or opt-out, which we honor within 24 hours.
